 I had a really good day. Will was great, very encouraging, helpful and patient and I achieved my aim, which was to understand flint and its ways a little better, and to feel even greater respect for our ancestors and their intelligence.
I've always been fascinated by the stone and will remain so. I'm actually quite proud of the little scraper I eventually managed to produce with a great deal of help. Enjoyed just being in the woods, as I always do when given the opportunity.
Would love to do the Women's Discovery course some day, especially after Karen showed me around that area and enthused so much! Can't get time off work for quite a while now, unfortunately but I will definitely be checking the dates.
