"Third time lucky. I booked this foraging course for my son's father's birthday before Covid and it has been postponed two years running. Finally, this year we managed to spend a beautiful day in a forest near Canterbury learning about edible plants and preparing food with them. There were ten people in the group and a couple were each assigned something to cook. I teamed up with my son to make a wild plant salad and wild garlic flat-breads and his father teamed up with another in the group to wrap in leaves and wild funnel and coal-cook the Monk-fish. We all learned a lot that day from two very knowledgeable guides. Worth the wait - a lovely day spent among nature and new friends.
